Milne.--A most valuable forward, from his size and weight in the scrimmage, and quite indispensable out of it from his power of getting the ball when thrown out of touch, and his judicious passing. P. A. Williamson.--Was unfortunately able to play very little, but showed in the last match of the season that he had not lost his dribbling powers. //. /. Bramly.--The Rupert of the game; always plays very hard and on the ball, and makes it very difficult for the other side to keep a tight scrimmage. W. M. Douglas.--A very fine forward; he charges very quickly and follows up very hard; and his strength enables him to be equally efficient throughout the match; is a good passer. P. B. H. Ramsay.--A quick forward, with some dribbling powers; a good collarer. D. MacGregor.--A very promising forward, who always plays very hard, and collars very quickly; played well at quarter on an emergency. T. W. Macnee.--A powerful and useful forward whenever he played, with good powers of collaring; was very useful as half-back on an emergency. The following is the order, as made out by the Captain FOOTBALL. Fettes College V. Glenalmond. This was our first match with Glenalmond, and our first match so far from our own grounds. We left here on the morning of February 25th, and arrived at Glenalmond in the rain at about one o'clock. The weather still continuing soft, we commenced play at about three. Glenalmond kicked off, and the ball was returned by Maxwell to Babington, who made a short run. Our forwards then, by a combined rush, gained some ground.
